BERNINA and bernette introduced several new machines this year, along with new hoops and presser feet, and we’ve been busy getting everything added to the website. BERNINA 790 ULTRA: The New Top-of-the-Line 7 Series
The BERNINA 790 ULTRA is the new top model in the BERNINA 7 Series, and this one is packed with technology for sewing, quilting, and embroidery.
If you loved the B 790 PRO, the ULTRA takes things even further with several exciting upgrades, including the new BERNINA Integrated Stitch Regulator, Stitch Plate Recognition, Jumbo Stitch, 3-Point Placement with Morphing, and expanded computerized quilting tools.
One of the biggest additions is the built-in BERNINA Integrated Stitch Regulator, also called BISR, which helps create beautifully even quilting stitches — including ruler work. The B 790 ULTRA also includes the BERNINA Pinpoint Laser, Automatic Needle Threader, BERNINA Dual Feed, 10" of space to the right of the needle, a 7" color touchscreen, WiFi connectivity, and the included Embroidery Module L with Smart Drive Technology.

The BERNINA x Liberty of London collaboration might be one of the prettiest machine launches we’ve seen.

BERNINA 580 Liberty Edition

BERNINA 495 Liberty Edition

BERNINA also introduced two exciting new L 6 Series machines: the L 660 Overlock and the L 620 Coverstitch.

BERNINA L 660 Overlock
The BERNINA L 660 is a dedicated overlock machine for professional seams, edge finishes, rolled hems, and stretchy knit seams.
It includes the One-Step BERNINA Air Threader for easy looper threading, color-coded threading paths, an integrated needle threader, mtc Micro Thread Control, adjustable differential feed, 2, 3, and 4-thread stitch options, and BERNINA comfort features like the Free Hand System with knee lifter, programmable needle stop, speed control, dimmable sewing light, and Slide-on Table.
BERNINA L 620 Coverstitch
The BERNINA L 620 is a dedicated coverstitch machine, which means it is designed for hems, bindings, topstitching, activewear, knits, chainstitching, and ready-to-wear garment finishes.
This is the machine that helps handmade garments look polished and professional. Like the L 660, it includes the One-Step BERNINA Air Threader, integrated needle threader, color-coded threading paths, BERNINA Free Hand System, programmable needle stop, speed control, dimmable sewing light, and Slide-on Table.

New bernette 50 Series: b57 and b59
The new bernette 50 Series is smart, compact, and approachable. These machines are designed for makers who want modern features without jumping straight into a full BERNINA machine.

The bernette b57 is a sewing-only machine with a lot of modern convenience features.
It includes a 3.5" color touchscreen, Comfort Needle Threader, Click & Lift Stitch Plate, automatic thread cutter, upper and lower thread sensors, stitch plate recognition, slide speed control, adjustable presser foot pressure, and 515 built-in sewing stitches.
The b57 also includes an extension table, giving you extra space for larger projects like bags, garments, home décor, and quilting basics.
bernette b59
The bernette b59 takes the b57 concept and adds embroidery.
This sewing and embroidery machine includes WiFi connectivity and works with the free StitchDirect app. Inside the app, you can create and edit embroidery designs, monitor embroidery progress, receive thread change notifications, and send designs directly to the machine.
The b59 includes 268 built-in embroidery designs, 11 embroidery fonts, 515 sewing stitches, a 3.5" color touchscreen, automatic thread cutter, upper and lower thread sensors, and a Multi-Position Hoop that gives you an extended embroidery area up to 4.7" x 11.8".
Best for: newer sewists, gift makers, hobby embroiderers, personalization projects, and customers who want modern features in a more approachable machine.
New Hoops and Presser Feet
It wasn’t just machines this year. We also added new BERNINA hoops and a presser foot to the website.
